Pa Mayte . Carlos Vives
The first time that I heard this song was when I was three years old , because my parents in my birthdays until I had my sixth birthday. After I blew the candle, they always put on the stereo "Carlos Vives Album: La tierra del Olvido" and the first song that I always heard was "Pa Mayte" , so my cousins and I start to danced and moved following my aunt and mom dancing steps until with a stick I broke the piñata and the clown or illusionist was ready to present his show.
In my memory I have some of these memories and when I want to remember clearly , I watched my birthday videos that my dad and mom always recored for me, and said when you grew up you will not only laught of the crazy things you did with your cousins, you always going to remember in your mind and heart.
After I was seven until now, my parents changed the way that they put the song in my birthdays, if I am in home, they put in the stereo and wake me up with the this song and they sing too, or if I am here in Cali when they call me to say "Happy Birthday" they put it in the stereo so I can hear it...
This was the way how I knew about Carlos Vives, his songs, the soap " Escalona" and musical genre Vallenatos and now Carlos Vives is one of my favorite Vallenato artist and when I was in his concerts is the best for me. I listen his music and watch his video concerts, first because I like very much all his songs and the second reason is when I heard the album "La tierra del Olvido" I remember my parents and my firsts birthday parties.
FIRST CONCERT "CALI VIVE"
Three years ago someday during the week, when I was walking to Mio station, I saw the advertisement "Cali Vive", in that moment I did not put a lot of attention but in the afternoon when I was walking near to San Andresito and I saw the advertisement again and when I recognized the singers Carlos Vives, Marc Anthony and Wisin. I felt very surprised and excited the next thing that I did was call my dad and told all the information about the concert. He said do not worried I sent you the money for the tickets so your mom,brother,you and I were going to the concert. Two days after I knew that not just my family were going to the concert, my cousins, my uncle and aunt with some of their friends came to the concert too it was more exciting because the group was bigger and most of them were my family !
The day of the concert , in the night when we got in the stadium and Wisin appeared on the stage, then Marc Anthony and finally Carlos Vives it was so exciting, we danced, sang all the songs that we knew and others if we did not knew all the song's letter we hummed, the fact was never be quiet always sang the song the artist was singing it was so funny when nobody knew some song because all tried to hummed. That was a very exiciting and funny night becuase in we enjoyed in family.
ABBA CHIQUITITA
When I was a baby until I was eight years old when I was ready to sleep but could not sleep easily or did not want to sleep, my dad put in the VHS "Abba video concert " it began with Chiquitita ,so he carried me in his arm and said tried to sleep and he sang it to me...Some nights when I am at home my dad do it again. This is a very special moment because is my father who sangs for me and always that I heard it I remembered him and Abba is one of my favorite English music groups, other of my favorite song besides Chiquitita is Waterloo.
Abba was a musical pop Sweden group, the artists were Benny Andersson, Anni-Frid Lyngstad, Björn Ulvaeus and Agnetha Fältskog , with the first letter of each name was created the acronym ABBA. It was a very famous group, because of the songs letters, "characteristic" sounds and catchy letters. This was how they became in one of the succesful group and are a symbol of their country.
